| 2009-2010: PROJECT 10,000 and JHS HOPE FOR HAITI One out of every six people in the United States is food insecure. North Carolina is no exception and the Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC at Durham is one branch of five that serves half a million people! We raised almost 8,000 cans and served approximately 1,500 hours of community service. Also, since the tragedy struck in Haiti, JHS has adopted a K-12 school over the next three years. With your help, we have raised over $6,000 and plan to continue our relationship with a school supply drive next year. |
